what to do with all those BROKEN crayons???

Keeping Art supplies organized for an entire school is a huge task. Especially boxes of crayons! I was ending the year with tons of incomplete or broken sets, and ordering all-new sets each school year.

You can stop wondering what to do with all those broken crayons… I’ve come up with a few ways to use all of the incomplete or broken sets.

At the end of each school year, I take the crayon sets that are in the worst shape and peel off the paper, break them in half or thirds and organize them into boxes by warm colors and cool colors. In many of my lessons I use the small pieces of crayon for shading, plus they’re easier to organize and pull out limited colors for lessons. I take selected colors and put them in small cups for each student or table.
